Participate in ARIN XXVI

ARIN XXVI will be held in Atlanta this October.

ARIN holds open, biannual Public Policy and Members Meetings where attendees gather to discuss draft Internet number resource policies, network with colleagues, and attend workshops and tutorials. Current policy proposals up for discussion at this meeting are available at:

ARIN XXVI Overview:

-Tuesday, 5 October: A lunch for first-time ARIN meeting attendees, an Introduction to the Policy Development Process, Open Policy Hour, and an evening social
-Wednesday, 6 October: ARIN Public Policy Meeting, Day One, evening social at Ten Pin Alley
-Thursday, 7 October: ARIN Public Policy Meeting, Day Two
-Friday, 8 October: ARIN Members Meeting (open to all ARIN XXVI attendees)

There are several ways for you to participate, the most obvious is attending:

Registration is now open for the ARIN XXVI Public Policy and Members Meeting, 6-8 October 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia. For information about the meeting, visit: https://www.arin.net/ARIN-XXVI/

ARIN will offer a webcast, live transcript, and Jabber chat options for remote participants. Registered remote participants can submit comments and questions to the discussions during the meeting.

You can also run for office! Or nominate someone else to run:

ARIN is issuing an open call for General Members in good standing to nominate candidates for two (2) seats on the Board of Trustees, five (5) seats on the Advisory Council, and one (1) seat on the Number Resource Organization (NRO) Number Council that become open when current terms expire on 31 December 2010.

If you are interested in nominating yourself or any other individual to become a member of the Board of Trustees or Advisory Council, visit ARIN Election Headquarters to fill out the nomination form: https://www.arin.net/app/election/

Finally, you can volunteer to serve on the fellowship selection committee:

ARIN is calling for General Members in Good Standing to serve on the ARIN Meeting Fellowship Program’s selection committee. To qualify, you must have attended at least one ARIN Public Policy and Member’s Meeting in the past three years. The ARIN Board of Trustees will appoint two representatives to the Selection Committee from the volunteer pool of General Members.

Under the Fellowship Program, one individual from each of the three sectors within ARIN’s service region (Canada, the Caribbean and North Atlantic Islands, and the United States and outlying areas) will be selected and will receive financial support to attend the upcoming Public Policy and Members Meeting.
