We are incorporated! CO ISOC is now an official nonprofit corporation, filed pursuant to §7-122-101 and §7-122-102 of the Colorado Revised Statutes. We have also filed for and received our federal EIN (Employer Identification Number) from the IRS.
Additionally, we have started the registration process with the state of Colorado as a charitable organization, which will then let us legally solicit donations! This process should be complete within the next few weeks.
Simultaneously, we have started the application process for federal tax exemption as a 501(c)(3) charity. If anyone would like to be involved in this project – please drop me a line and let me know!
