CO ISOC Over 100 Members Strong

Filed under: Chapter Update, Take Action - 22 Feb 2010

The Colorado Chapter of the Internet Society (CO ISOC) now has over 100 members!

This is a great, if early, milestone and I want to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who has joined and contributed to CO ISOC. Crossing this threshold proves that we are on the right track and means that we are one step closer to achieving our goals. One of our primary aims initially of course is to raise awareness of the Internet Society and it’s over arching mission, principles and goals. Growing our membership directly benefits this noble goal and for that reason I want to ask you all to do something for the chapter, right now.

Please take this opportunity to tell your friends and co-workers about the Internet Society and about CO ISOC!

I am asking every member of CO ISOC to send an email right now to 10 people who live in or near Colorado and who believe that the Internet is for Everyone. You can use the template below (after the jump) or write your own message; the important thing is to send the messages! But don’t stop there, remember to tell people about CO ISOC in other ways as well – send a tweet, post to facebook, LinkedIn, or wherever you share news and ideas, and talk to folks in person too – at conferences, around the water cooler, at lunch, and anywhere else you find people interested in the Internet. YOU can help build this chapter and it will only take a few minutes.
